Too Much Cancelled On Netflix – No Season 2

The romantic comedy has concluded after one season.

Netflix has cancelled Too Much after one season. The 10-episode romantic comedy debuted in July to warm reviews, but co-creator Lena Dunham confirmed at an FYC panel last week that the series has concluded.

While the series has been cancelled, Dunham insists it was always intended to be a ‘limited’ story with a definitive ending:

“Our intention was always to make Too Much as a limited series. It was meant to feel like a classic transatlantic love story but with time to really dig into the complexities that a film doesn’t have the space for. Of course I fell fully in love with Meg and Will’s dynamic… but as Luis and I sat with what we made, we realized we had told the story. It ends with a wedding… We had done what we needed to do, and part of the job is knowing when to park it.”

The series stars Jessica as a New York workaholic who, following the collapse of a relationship she believed would last forever, escapes to London for a reset. Her plan for solitude dissolves when she meets Felix, a charmingly chaotic red flag in human form, and the two are pulled into an unexpected connection that complicates both of their lives.
