Silent Witness Renewed For Season 30 Ahead Of Season 29 Premiere

The BBC has quietly renewed Silent Witness for a 30th season, confirming that the long-running forensic drama will begin filming its next chapter in January 2026. The news arrives ahead of Season 29, and will once again follow Dr. Nikki Alexander and the Lyell team as they tackle complex casework across London.

Season 30 will see Emilia Fox return as Nikki, continuing her two-decade run at the center of the series. David Caves is also set to reprise his role as Jack Hodgson, with additional recent members of the Lyell roster expected to join them for another round of investigations in both the lab and the field.

With Season 29 still to premiere and Season 30 already gearing up for production, fans have an extended future of forensic mysteries ahead.

Silent Witness Season 29 premieres early 2026 on BBC One, and later in the year on Britbox in the U.S.
