About Bat-Fam

BAT-FAM follows Batman, Alfred, and young Damian Wayne – now having taken on the mantle of “Little Batman” – as they welcome a few new residents to Wayne Manor. Joining the family dinner table is Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s free-spirited grandniece; Claire, a recently reformed Super-Villain; Ra’s al Ghul, Damian’s adoring “Pap Pap” who also happens to be Batman’s longtime nemesis; and Man-Bat, who takes up residence in the Wayne Manor belfry. Oh! And let’s not forget Selina, the beloved family cat. This close-knit family of misfits navigate the fun and frustrations of ordinary life while protecting the streets of Gotham City.

The series stars Luke Wilson (voice of Batman/Bruce Wayne), Yonas Kibreab (voice of Damian Wayne), James Cromwell (voice of Alfred Pennyworth), Haley Tju (voice of Claire), London Hughes (voice of Alicia Pennyworth), Michael Benyaer (voice of Ra’s Al Ghul), and Bobby Moynihan (voice of Man-Bat). The guest voice cast includes Reid Scott, Kevin Michael Richardson, Diedrich Bader, and Natasha Leggero, among others.

Bat-Fam serves as a direct sequel to the hit animated film Merry Little Batman, continuing the adventures of young Damian Wayne, now embracing his role as “Little Batman.” The series follows Damian as he juggles family life at Wayne Manor with his growing superhero duties under the watchful eye of his father, Batman, and their ever-patient butler, Alfred.

A Gotham Family Sitcom With Superhero Mayhem

Unlike darker iterations of the Bat-verse, Bat-Fam blends heartfelt family storytelling with lighthearted chaos. The Wayne household expands with colorful new residents, Alicia Pennyworth, Alfred’s free-spirited grandniece; Claire Selton (Volcana), a reformed supervillain; Ra’s al Ghul, now an overzealous “Pap Pap” to Damian; and Man-Bat, who roosts in the manor’s belfry. Expect equal parts family comedy and Gotham crime-fighting, all wrapped in witty humor and warmth.

Returning Voices and New Additions

Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, and James Cromwell reprise their roles as Batman, Damian Wayne, and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively, from Merry Little Batman. Joining the main cast are Haley Tju, London Hughes, Michael Benyaer, and Bobby Moynihan, with additional appearances from Reid Scott, Kevin Michael Richardson, Diedrich Bader, and Natasha Leggero.

Same Art Style, New Stories

The show retains the distinctive, hand-drawn animation style of Merry Little Batman, inspired by the works of illustrator Ronald Searle. Guillaume Fesquet returns as art director, ensuring the visual continuity between film and series.

From HBO Max to Prime Video

Originally developed as an HBO Max project under the working title Bat-Family, the series was picked up by Amazon Prime Video following Warner Bros.’ strategic content shift. The show is executive-produced by Mike Roth and Jase Ricci, with Roth also serving as showrunner.

Release and Fan Events

Bat-Fam released on November 10, 2025, on Prime Video. A behind-the-scenes presentation was featured at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, and fans got an early sneak peek during New York Comic Con 2025, where the first episode was screened ahead of its streaming debut.
