Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has been cancelled.

Netflix has served the final notice for the series, which will conclude with its upcoming second season, bringing Lara’s short arc to a close.

Set after the Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider), the show follows Lara as she pushes deeper into ancient mysteries and lost truths across high-risk locales. Season 1 laid the origin foundation; Season 2 tracks her shift from rookie to the icon fans know.

The new season sends Lara after a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, reuniting her with best friend Sam to recover the artifacts. The hunt spans the globe and draws the attention of a powerful, enigmatic billionaire who covets the masks, forcing Lara to confront relics tied to secrets—and a force—that defy logic, and may be divine.

The second and final season drops December 11, 2025.
