The Pitt Renewed For Season 3 On HBO

The medical drama is sticking around for a third run.

The Pitt isn’t going anywhere soon. HBO Max has renewed the medical drama for a third season, ahead of tonight’s Season 2 premiere.

HBO CEO Casey Bloys confirmed the early pickup during the Season 2 premiere event at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles.

The series stars Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby, a senior attending physician in the emergency department at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. Episodes center on 15-hour ER shifts, following Robby and other frontline staff as they treat patients in high-pressure, variable conditions.

The Pitt Season 2 begins 10 months after the closing events of Season 1 and continues the real-time shift structure introduced in the first season.

Expect The Pitt Season 3 to premiere in early 2027 on HBO Max.
