MTV has renewed Jersey Shore Family Vacation for a ninth and final season. The pickup comes ahead of the series’ return this spring, with the farewell run set to span 18 episodes.

A continuation of the pop culture phenomenon Jersey Shore, the series follows the original housemates as they reunite in different locations for extended group vacations. The cast includes Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul DelVecchio, Jenni Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Angelina Pivarnick, Mike Sorrentino and Nicole Polizzi.

The upcoming season will close out a long-running reality franchise that has chronicled the group’s friendships, milestones and conflicts over multiple iterations of the series. The final run is expected to revisit many of the relationships and moments that helped define the show’s impact on reality television.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation Season 9 premieres May 7 on MTV.
