Ponies Cancelled By Peacock - No Season 2
Peacock has cancelled Ponies after one season. The decision comes five months after the spy thriller released its freshman run on the streaming service.
The cancellation is not particularly surprising, as the series struggled to attract a significant audience despite earning generally positive reviews from both critics and viewers, and the creators outlining their plans for a second season. Unfortunately for fans, the show’s lone season ended on a cliffhanger, leaving several major storylines unresolved.
Set in 1977 Moscow, Ponies followed Bea and Twila, two “PONIES” – intelligence jargon for “persons of no interest” – who worked as secretaries at the American Embassy. After their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the Soviet Union, the women are recruited by the CIA and thrust into the world of espionage. Together, they set out to uncover a far-reaching Cold War conspiracy while searching for answers about the events that left them widowed.
With no indication that the series will be shopped elsewhere, Ponies has e reached the end of its run after a single season.

About Ponies
Moscow, 1977. Two “PONIES” (“persons of no interest” in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives. Bea (Emilia Clarke) is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila (Haley Lu Richardson), is a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.
