The Lowdown Renewed For Season 2 On FX & Hulu

The Western-noir drama will return for another season.

The Lowdown has been renewed for a second season on FX and Hulu. The Western-noir drama will continue with Ethan Hawke as lead. The renewal follows the show’s first season, which premiered in September and comprised 10 episodes.

Created by Sterlin Harjo, the series follows citizen journalist Lee Raybon (Hawke), who investigates corruption and power structures in Tulsa. Season 1 centered on Raybon’s reporting on the Washberg family, followed by the fictional death of Dale Washberg and a subsequent investigation driven by clues left behind prior to his death.

The first season also starred Keith David and included guest appearances by Kyle MacLachlan, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tim Blake Nelson, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Michael “Killer Mike” Render, Kaniehtiio Horn, Tracy Letts, Peter Dinklage, Kaniehtiio Horn, and Graham Greene.

Production on Season 2 will begin in Tulsa this spring, for an expected 2027 premiere.
