The Great North Cancelled By FOX – No Season 6

The Tobins take their final bow.

FOX has cancelled The Great North after five seasons, bringing the Alaska-set animated comedy to an end.

The axe falls two weeks after the show wrapped its fifth season, leaving its total episode count at 97.

Michael Thorn, President of FOX Television Network, said:

“We’re so grateful for everything Wendy, Lizzie, Loren and the amazing cast and crew put into The Great North. It’s difficult to say goodbye, but we’re thankful for the five hilarious seasons The Great North brought to the iconic Animation Domination lineup.”

Created by Wendy Molyneux, Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, and Loren Bouchard, The Great North followed single father Beef Tobin and his quirky children in small-town Alaska. The series centered on Beef’s efforts to keep his close-knit family together while daughter Judy pursued her creative dreams – often guided by her boss and her imaginary confidante, Alanis Morissette, who appeared to her in the Northern Lights.
