Acorn TV has renewed Signora Volpe for a third season, commissioning three 90-minute episodes. Production begins this week in Italy’s Lazio and Umbria regions.

Season 3 finds former British spy Sylvia Fox (Emilia Fox) recovered from her Season 2 abduction and settled back into life in Italy, though she’s still waiting for answers from ex-husband Adam Haines about his dealings with her kidnapper. Across the new run, Sylvia probes the murder of a local winery owner and the mystery of a young man found dead in the bed of a powerful couple who insist they’ve never seen him. Her relationship with Carabinieri captain Giovanni Riva deepens, but the finalization of his divorce and his desire to put down roots in Umbria test Sylvia’s independence. In the finale, a violent death close to home triggers an emotional crisis as Adam returns – injured and in danger – seeking Sylvia’s help and challenging her loyalties.

The cast includes Tara Fitzgerald as Sylvia’s sister Isabel Vitale; Giovanni Cirfiera as Giovanni Riva; Elena Di Cioccio as Brigadiere Roberta Barzini; Matteo Carlomagno as Matteo Vitale; Marianne Leoni as Raffaella Tasso; and Imma Piro as Antonella Vitale. Jamie Bamber reprises Adam Haines in a recurring role, with Buffy Davis returning as Miriam Cavendish.

Expect Season 3 to premiere in 2026.
