One Piece Renewed For Season 3 On Netflix Ahead Of S2

The live-action manga adaptation will sail into a third season on Netflix.

Netflix has renewed its live-action adaptation of One Piece for a third season, with the announcement made during the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo.

The pickup comes well ahead of the show’s second season, which is set to release in 2026.

Production on Season 3 will begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa, with Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

Based on Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga, One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a young pirate with rubber-like abilities gained from eating a mysterious Devil Fruit. Determined to find the legendary treasure known as One Piece and become King of the Pirates, Luffy assembles a loyal crew and sails the seas, outwitting dangerous rivals and evading the Marines at every turn.
