Prime Video has announced that Maxton Hall – The World Between Us will conclude with its upcoming third season, marking the hit drama as a final-season cancellation. The news comes as filming on Season 3 has wrapped.

The decision to end the series comes at a high point for the franchise. Maxton Hall remains Prime Video’s most-watched International Original of all time, with Season 2 topping the service’s charts in nearly 100 countries, including the U.S., the U.K., and Germany.

Season 3 picks up with Ruby suspended from Maxton Hall College, and all signs pointing to James as the reason behind her expulsion. The fallout threatens her Oxford ambitions and places their relationship under intense strain. As the two fight to salvage Ruby’s academic future, shifting alliances, tense friendships and deepening personal conflicts create an emotional reckoning for everyone in their orbit. Both Ruby and James are forced to confront just how far apart their worlds truly are, and whether love can withstand the gathering storms of their past and present.
