Peacock has cancelled Laid after a single season.

The decision comes five months after the romantic comedy’s eight-episode run premiered on December 19, 2024.

Developed by Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna, Laid starred Stephanie Hsu as Ruby Yao, a Seattle-based party planner who discovers her former lovers are dying in unusual ways. With help from her best friend AJ (Zosia Mamet), Ruby retraces her romantic history to warn her exes of their impending doom.
