Crave has renewed its original drama Heated Rivalry for a second season, the company announced following the show’s strong debut performance.

The renewal comes less than a month after the series premiered, as international distribution deals continue to build momentum around the title.

Season 2 will stream on HBO Max across multiple international territories, including Asia, Latin America, and parts of Europe, with HBO Max U.S. and Australia and NEON in New Zealand also securing rights for the new season.

Justin Stockman, VP of Content and Programming at Bell Media, said:

“Heated Rivalry represents the very best of what Canadian creators can deliver: rich characters, compelling drama, and a world audiences want to live in. The response has been extraordinary, and seeing the series now travelling internationally is an incredible milestone.”

Based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers novels, Heated Rivalry follows rival professional hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as their competitive relationship evolves over several years into something far more complicated.

Heated Rivalry Season 2 is slated to premiere in late 2026 on Crave and HBO Max.
