NBC has renewed Destination X for Season 2. The pickup follows the show’s debut run last summer, which the network says reached more than 20 million viewers across platforms and ranked as the #1 new show of the summer.

Hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the reality travel competition blends large-scale adventure with a location-based guessing game.

NBC issued the following renewal statement:

“‘Destination X’ is returning with the world as our playground to deliver new unforgettable adventures that will keep viewers guessing every step of the way. With the incomparable Jeffrey Dean Morgan back at the helm, season two promises to deliver surprising twists and push boundaries even further.”

Series producer Universal Television Alternative Studio, added:

“‘Destination X’ pushes the boundaries of what unscripted television can deliver with a truly global experience that feels cinematic, exhilarating and unlike anything else on TV. With this new season, we’re dialing everything up even more, taking both the contestants and the audience on adventures that are bigger, bolder and completely unexpected.”

In the series, contestants embark on a road trip without knowing their locations. Traveling on a blacked-out bus, they face challenges designed to provide clues, along with intentional misdirects. At the end of each episode, the contestant who places an X on a map farthest from the actual destination is eliminated. The final remaining player wins $250,000.

Casting for Destination X Season 2 is currently underway, slated to premiere later in 2026.
