The comedy drama will return in 2027.
The BBC has renewed Can You Keep a Secret? for Season 2. The pick-up comes a week after the sitcom’s first season concluded.
The premiere episode launched to 5.3 million viewers across 28 days, and the series ranks as the third biggest comedy launch on BBC iPlayer since 2024, reaching 3.3 million viewers.
Can You Keep a Secret? follows Debbie Fendon (Dawn French), a domineering grandmother who believes her reclusive husband William has died. After he is mistakenly declared deceased, William hides in the loft while the family awaits a life insurance payout. Their son Harold and his wife Neha, a local police officer, are drawn into the deception, which becomes increasingly complicated as more secrets surface.

Filming for Can You Keep a Secret? Season 2 will take place later this year in the West Country, and is slated to premiere in 2027 on BBC One in the UK, and Paramount+ in the U.S.
