Prime Video has cancelled The Runarounds after one season. The decision comes seven months after the YA drama released its eight-episode freshman run.

The series followed a group of recent high school graduates in Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together through their shared passion for music. Forming a rock band, they set out to chase a breakthrough while navigating friendships, relationships and the uncertainties of life after graduation.

Over the course of one summer, the group builds bonds, faces setbacks and pursues an increasingly difficult dream, balancing ambition with the realities of growing up.

The Runarounds will not be shopped to other platforms for Season 2, serving as a one-and-done on Prime Video.
