Netflix is sticking with the Tyler Perry soap opera for a third season.
Beauty in Black has been quietly renewed for a third season at Netflix, with new episodes expected to arrive in late 2026, TVEndDates.com has confirmed. The pickup keeps Tyler Perry’s soapy drama moving forward as Season 2 continues its rollout into Spring 2026.
The series, created, directed, and executive produced by Perry, follows two women living vastly different lives: Kimmie, a young woman trying to escape an abusive world of strip-club exploitation, and Mallory, the polished but deeply entangled head of a hair-care empire whose family brings as much chaos as prestige. From violent pimps to corporate sabotage, blackmail, shifting loyalties, and the Bellarie family’s escalating internal turmoil, the show leans into Perry’s signature blend of melodrama, suspense, and emotional extremes.
While Beauty in Black received sharply negative reviews from critics, it has been a consistent performer for Netflix. Season 1 spent four weeks in the streamer’s Top 10, reached No. 1 in 28 countries, and debuted as the platform’s fourth-most-watched series of its opening week before climbing higher. The strong viewer demand led to a Season 2 renewal almost immediately after Part 2’s release, and the same momentum appears to be driving this Season 3 pickup.
Beauty In Black Season 3 is now in development and slated for a late 2026 release on Netflix.
