Prime Video has quietly renewed Ballard for a second season, according to insiders. The pickup extends the Bosch universe while the streamer holds back a formal announcement.

Season 2 keeps Detective Renée Ballard on the hunt for a calculating serial killer as she follows leads that point inward, forcing her to navigate a department conspiracy and push past internal resistance. The new run leans further into cold cases, political pressure, and the cost of pursuing justice from within the system.

Lauren Lancaster, Head of US SVOD TV Development, said of the renewal:
