HBO has renewed The Chair Company for a second season. The decision arrives as the Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin comedy continues to perform strongly across platforms, currently pacing as HBO’s top freshman comedy in platform history.

Season 1 is averaging 3.3 million viewers (L+3) in the U.S. and continues to grow week over week. HBO, which also ordered a second season of I Love LA, said of the renewal:

“HBO’s comedy tradition continues with these two brilliant series. We’re thrilled by the incredible response to The Chair Company and I Love LA debuts. Both shows confidently carry on the HBO comedy tradition, in their own singular way. We couldn’t be happier to continue collaborating with Tim, Zach, Rachel, and their exceptional teams.”

Created by Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin, The Chair Company follows William Ronald Trosper after an embarrassing workplace incident sends him down a rabbit hole of investigating a far-reaching conspiracy. Season 1 stars Robinson as William, Lake Bell as Barb Trosper, Sophia Lillis as Natalie Trosper, Will Price as Seth Trosper, and Joseph Tudisco as Mike Santini, with Lou Diamond Phillips recurring as Jeff Levjman.

Expect The Chair Company Season 2 to premiere in late 2026, possibly 2027 on HBO.
