Art Detectives Season 2 Renewed by Acorn TV
Art Detectives has been renewed for a second season by Acorn TV.
The announcement comes after the crime drama became the streamer’s most-watched new series premiere at the time of its debut. Production on the new season is set to begin this month in Belfast and across Northern Ireland.
Season 2 will begin with a two-part special this December before continuing with a six-episode season in 2027. Stephen Moyer will return as Detective Inspector Mick Palmer alongside Nina Singh as Detective Constable Shazia Malik. Larry Lamb is also set to reprise his role as Mick’s father, Ron Palmer.
Set in the world of heritage crime, Art Detectives follows Mick Palmer and Shazia Malik as they investigate murders connected to priceless artwork, rare antiquities, and valuable collectibles. Each case takes the detectives into a world shaped by greed, obsession, revenge, and deception, where stolen masterpieces and forged artifacts often conceal far deadlier crimes.
Commenting on the renewal, star and executive producer Stephen Moyer said:

I’m really looking forward to filming these eight new episodes and reuniting with the brilliant Nina Singh. This new season is packed with drama, excitement, tension and surprises. Season 2 of Art Detectives premieres with a two-part special in December 2026 on Acorn TV, followed by the remaining six episodes in 2027.
