Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire Season 4 Renewed as Queen of the Damned
Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire has been renewed for a fourth season by AMC. Announced during the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, the new season will adapt Anne Rice’s iconic novel Queen of the Damned and will officially be titled Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned.
The renewal comes just days after the Season 3 finale, The Vampire Lestat, which has become one of the year’s highest-rated television shows on Rotten Tomatoes. Executive producer Hannah Moscovitch will serve as showrunner for the fourth season, alongside executive producers Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones.
Based on Anne Rice’s beloved novel, Queen of the Damned continues the story of the Vampire Chronicles as Lestat’s actions awaken the ancient queen Akasha, setting the stage for one of the franchise’s most significant storylines. Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, and Sheila Atim are expected to return as part of the ensemble cast.
Announcing the renewal, Dan McDermott, Chief Content Officer of AMC Global Media and President of AMC Studios, said:
“In The Vampire Lestat, Mark, Rolin, Hannah and this extraordinary cast delivered an unforgettable season filled with propulsive storytelling that captivated the passionate and engaged fans of this franchise. We can’t wait to continue the journey with Queen of the Damned, one of the most iconic stories in Anne Rice’s mythology, and watch our established and beloved characters confront Akasha with their world, and ours, very much hanging in the balance.”
Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned is expected to premiere in summer 2027 on AMC and AMC+.

About Interview with the Vampire
In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac continues the story of his life to renown journalist Daniel Molloy- his time in Post War Paris with the Vampire Claudia. In Dubai, Molloy discovers the truths beneath Louis’ story.
In the upcoming rock and roll centric third season, the Vampire Lestat goes on an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by “muses” from his wild and rebellious past. As his band’s popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat’s influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat’s power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population.
