ABC has ordrenewed ered The Bachelorette for Season 22, ending a brief pause for the long-running dating series.

It’s the first time since 2008 the show has skipped a year between cycles, part of the network’s broader reevaluation of how it schedules its Bachelor universe titles.

Taylor Frankie Paul has been named the next Bachelorette. The 31-year-old Utah native, seen on Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, becomes the first lead in series history who hasn’t previously appeared on The Bachelor or a related spinoff.
