The adventure series will extend into 2027.
MGM+ has renewed Robin Hood for a second season, with the pick-up coming two months after the show’s 10-episode freshman run. A further 10 episodes will continue the legend, with production set to begin this summer.
Robin Hood reimagines the iconic outlaw with a focus on the romance between Rob and Marian, blending historical elements with character-driven storytelling.
MGM+ issued the following statement on the renewal:
“Robin Hood quickly became one of our top-performing original series of all time, and the response from our audiences both in the U.S. and abroad has been exceptional. We’re thrilled to continue this epic adventure for a second season. John Glenn, Jonathan English, and the entire creative team have reimagined this legendary tale with remarkable depth and authenticity, and we can’t wait to see where they take us next.”
Jocelyn Sabo, executive vice president of scripted television development at Lionsgate, said:
“The passionate response to Robin Hood is a testament to the creative vision behind the series and to its powerful connection with audiences worldwide. Series producers Glenn and English added:

Season one starred Jack Patten as Rob, Lauren McQueen as Marian, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
Season 2 will expand the story beyond Sherwood and Nottingham into the royal courts of England, France and Rome, as Rob and Marian become entangled in political power struggles tied to the Angevin empire. The new installment aims to broaden the scope of the rebellion while continuing to center the relationship at its core.
