Mid-Century Modern Cancelled By Hulu: No Season 2

Hulu doesn't want more of the comedy series.

Hulu has pulled the plug on Mid-Century Modern after one season. The 10-episode comedy, which debuted in the spring, drew favorable reviews but won’t be continuing.

Co-creator Max Mutchnick confirmed the cancellation in an Instagram post, writing:

“Ten great episodes… Not enough. But we loved making every single one of them. We’re gonna miss our very special show. Thanks to everyone who watched.”

Mid-Century Modern followed three gay men of a certain age, bonded by lifelong friendship, who decide to live together in Palm Springs after an unexpected death. One of them, the wealthiest of the group, shares his home with his mother.

As a chosen family, they navigate aging, friendship and self-image—proving there’s always someone nearby to remind you it might be time to get your neck done.

With the cancellation, the story of Mid-Century Modern ends after just one season.
