CBS Renews Big Brother For Season 28

The long-running reality series isn't going anywhere.

Big Brother will be back for another season on CBS. Host Julie Chen Moonves announced during tonight’s Season 27 finale that the long-running reality series has been renewed for a 28th season.

The format remains unchanged: houseguests live together under constant surveillance, competing in challenges and voting one another out weekly. When only two remain, a jury of evicted houseguests decides the winner of the $750,000 grand prize.

On air since 2000, the series has become one of CBS’s strongest summer performers, airing three nights per week and regularly ranking among the top reality shows in prime time.

Season 28 of Big Brother will debut in summer 2026, with Julie Chen Moonves once again returning as host.
