Prime Video has cancelled Butterfly after one season, ending the Daniel Dae Kim spy drama’s run just two months after its debut. The series, which premiered with six episodes, will not move forward with additional installments.

Adapted from the BOOM! Studios graphic novel created by Arash Amel, Butterfly followed a former U.S. intelligence operative living in South Korea whose past choices return to haunt him. His quiet life unravels when a ruthless assassin is sent to eliminate him, exposing the reach of Caddis, the covert organization she serves.

Butterfly premiered its first and only season earlier this year on Prime Video.

There are no current plans to shop Butterfly Season 2 to other platforms or networks.
