Netflix has ordered a second season of the Japanese romance reality series Badly In Love. The show will return with a new cast and a new setting.

The series focuses on yankii (delinquent youth) and their interpersonal conflicts and relationships. Following its first season, Netflix reported the show reached No. 8 on its Global Top 10 Non-English Series list and appeared in Top 10 rankings in Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

Producer MEGUMI said:

“I’m truly delighted that Season 2 has been greenlit so quickly. Since the series’ release, it has been incredibly meaningful for all of us to see the yankii culture – something we consider to be ‘ultra-Japan’ – reach not only audiences in Japan, but viewers around the world. We will continue to pour our hearts into Season 2 so that audiences can experience even more of the raw charm of yankii who live every moment to the fullest.”

Badly In Love Season 2 is slated to premiere in late 2026 on Netflix.
