Emily in Paris is coming to an end. The previously announced sixth season will now serve as the show’s final chapter, Netflix has confirmed.

The decision closes the book on one of Netflix’s most recognizable international hits, bringing an end to Emily Cooper’s journey after six seasons.

“I just wanted to share something with you all,” star Lily Collins said in a video. “After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final. Season six will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime.”

Collins added that the cast and crew are “pouring our hearts” into the farewell season and promised fans “all of the magic ahead.”

Creator Darren Star also reflected on the show’s run, saying:

“Making Emily in Paris with this extraordinary cast and crew has been the trip of a lifetime. As we embark on the final season, I am so grateful to Netflix, Paramount, and, most importantly, the fans who have taken this incredible journey with us. We can’t wait to share this last chapter with you. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives, inspiring your dreams of travel and your love of Paris. We will always have ‘Emily in Paris!’”

Premiering in 2020, Emily in Paris followed Emily Cooper, a Chicago marketing executive whose life changes after her company is acquired by a French firm, giving her the opportunity to relocate to Paris. While adapting to a new culture and career, Emily found herself balancing friendships, romance, and the many complications that came with her increasingly unpredictable life abroad.

The sixth and now final season of Emily In Paris is slated to release in 2027 on Netflix.
