Apple TV+ has renewed Foundation for Season 4, announcing the pickup ahead of the Season 3 finale.

The sci-fi epic continues to expand Asimov’s universe as the Foundation and the Cleonic Empire face a rising threat from the warlord known as the Mule.

Ian Goldberg and David Kob, co-showrunners and executive producers:

“There is no series quite like ‘Foundation’ and we feel lucky and honored to be carrying the torch forward as co-showrunners into season four. We look forward to continuing the epic, emotional storytelling that defined the first three seasons of the show, and to be working alongside some of the most talented, passionate creative partners in the business.”

Production on Season 4 will begin in early 2026, with the new season expected to release later that year.

No word yet on whether Season 4 will be the last in the show’s run.
