The Voice Renewed For Season 29 By NBC

The singing competition will return with a revamped format in 2026 on NBC.

NBC has renewed The Voice for Season 29, with the new cycle titled The Voice: Battle of Champions set to premiere in Spring 2026.

The 29th season will introduce a major format revamp and feature a returning lineup of fan-favorite coaches: Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine.

This trio marks the first time the coaching panel will consist entirely of past winners, aligning with the season’s competitive new theme. Season 29 will coincide with NBC’s “Legendary February” programming, which includes the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics, and NBA All-Star Game.

Season 29 will introduce several format changes, including:

  • Triple Turn Competition during the Blind Auditions.
  • A one-time Super Steal mechanic in the Battles.
  • An In-Season All-Star Competition in the Knockouts with returning contestants and guest judge CeeLo Green.
  • A revamped voting system in the finale, featuring input from super fans and past contestants in the live audience.
  • Each coach will begin the season with 10 artists on their team.

Meanwhile, NBC previously announced that The Voice Season 28 will debut this Fall 2025, featuring Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, and Reba McEntire as coaches.
