Hacks Renewed For Season 5 At Max

 Deborah Vance lives to roast another day. 

Max has renewed Hacks for a fifth season. The pickup comes ahead of the season four finale, set to air this Thursday, and follows a strong run for the Emmy-winning series.

Season 4 is pacing to be the show’s top-performing season to date, according to the streamer. Hacks has remained a top five title in the U.S. and a top 10 title globally since its latest premiere.

“Like Deborah Vance herself, Hacks only gets bolder, sharper, and more iconic with time,” said Universal Television President Erin Underhill. “We’re beyond thrilled to keep the laughter rolling with Jen, Paul, Lucia, our extraordinary cast and crew, and our partners at Max.”

The half-hour series stars Jean Smart as Deborah Vance, a veteran stand-up comic navigating a changing industry alongside her millennial writing partner, played by Hannah Einbinder.

Season 5 is expected to premiere in 2026.
