About Made In Korea
Will Made in Korea Return for Season 2?
Current Status: Renewed For Season 2
Made in Korea (메이드 인 코리아) is an South Korean period political drama co-written by Park Eun-gyo and Park Joon-suk, directed by Woo Min-ho, and starring Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung. The series premieres December 24 2025 on Hulu in the U.S. and the Hulu on Disney+ content hub internationally.
Unlike most debut dramas, Made in Korea was renewed in advance, production on Season 2 began before Season 1’s release, and Disney confirmed at the APAC Showcase 2025 in Hong Kong that the follow-up is targeting a late 2026 premiere.
“Made in Korea” Season 1 follows Baek Kitae, an ambitious KCIA agent who’s living a double life. Driven by his thirst for power, Kitae works as an agent by day and a smuggler by night. Smart, suave, cunning and capable, Kitae rapidly moves up the ranks after using his smuggling operation to consolidate power, protect his brother, and generate vast sums of money for the agency. Seemingly unstoppable, only one thing stands in his way – a tenacious prosecutor who can’t be reasoned with, bought or bribed. With everything at stake for both men, the series will follow the duo as they look to take each other down.
In Season 2, nine years after Season 1, Baek Kitae stands at the height of his power, while Jang Geonyoung is preparing to strike back. Meanwhile, Baek Kihyun is pursuing a path to a different kind of power than his brother. Their ambitions run rampant, creating an irreversible rift that threatens to upend everything.
