Expedition X is returning for a 12th season. Discovery Channel has renewed the paranormal investigation series, with the new season set to premiere later this month.

Josh Gates returns alongside scientist Phil Torres and paranormal investigator Heather Amaro as the team continues exploring reports of unexplained phenomena, haunted locations, and enduring legends from around the world. The new season will feature investigations ranging from New Mexico’s legendary Skinwalker sightings to supernatural encounters on historic battlefields and centuries-old folklore in England.

The season opens with a two-part premiere set in Nottingham, England, where Torres and Amaro investigate reports of paranormal activity connected to the legend of Robin Hood. Their search takes them through medieval dungeons, underground cave systems, Newstead Abbey, and Sherwood Forest as they examine whether the area’s haunted reputation is rooted in history, folklore, or something more mysterious.

Later in the season, the team investigates alleged Skinwalker encounters on Navajo Nation land, explores reports of paranormal activity on Guam’s World War II battlefields, and reunites with Jack Osbourne for a special investigation marking America’s 250th anniversary as they search for Revolutionary War spirits near the Brandywine River.

Season 12 of Expedition X premieres August 19, 2026 on Discovery Channel.
