Free Bert Renewed For Season 2 On Netflix

Netflix has renewed Free Bert for a second season. The pickup comes less than two months after the scripted comedy debuted on January 22, 2026, with its first season landing in Netflix’s Global Top 10.

The series stars Bert Kreischer as a fictionalized version of himself. In the show, the famously shirtless stand-up comic finds his world turned upside down when his daughters are accepted into an elite Beverly Hills private school. Attempting to fit into the new environment, Bert tries to suppress his wild, party-loving persona after his behavior begins to alienate the school community.

Showrunners Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel said:

“We’re incredibly grateful to Netflix for believing in this show and giving us the chance to continue the freeing of Bert.”

The series films in Atlanta, joining other Netflix productions shot in the city such as Stranger Things and Sweet Magnolias.

Free Bert Season 2 is slated to release in early 2027 on Netflix.
