CBS has renewed Fire Country for Season 5. The early pickup was announced midway through the firefighter drama’s fourth season, which returns from its winter hiatus on February 27.

The series debuted in 2022 and has remained a steady performer for the network on Friday nights. During the current season, Fire Country is averaging 8.1 million multiplatform viewers.

The renewal is one of 16 CBS shows currently renewed for the 2026-27 season.

The drama centers on Bode Donovan, a young inmate seeking redemption and a reduced prison sentence by joining a firefighting program that places incarcerated individuals alongside professional firefighters. The assignment brings Bode back to his Northern California hometown, where personal history collides with dangerous wildfire response efforts.

Fire Country Season 5 is set to premiere this fall as part of the 2026-27 broadcast television season on CBS.
