Ridiculousness Cancelled By MTV

MTV is putting an end to the long-running clip show.

MTV’s long-running viral video series Ridiculousness has been cancelled after 14 years.

The decision arrives amid significant restructuring following the Paramount-Skydance merger, which has led to widespread layoffs and a push to “reimagine” MTV’s content slate. The network is reportedly shifting toward a more curated lineup focused on new creative voices and updated programming formats.

Ridiculousness premiered on August 29, 2011, and became a staple of MTV’s schedule, with host Rob Dyrdek joined by Chanel West Coast and Sterling “Steelo” Brim reacting to viral video clips and internet fails. By the end of its run in 2026, the show will have aired 46 seasons.

Previously produced, unaired episodes will continue to roll out on MTV through 2026, with past seasons remaining available on both MTV and Paramount+.
