FX and Ryan Murphy have officially confirmed American Horror Story will return for its 13th season.

The announcement came via a Halloween video shared by Murphy, revealing an all-star cast of returning AHS alumni and familiar faces from his broader TV universe.

Season 13’s cast includes Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange. The teaser featured Roberts’ character Madison Montgomery’s iconic line from Coven: “Surprise, bitch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”

The upcoming season marks a major reunion for Murphy’s regular collaborators. Grande, who previously appeared in Scream Queens, joins Roberts and Lourd from that series, while Paulson and Peters return after multiple AHS installments spanning Murder House through Double Feature. Lange’s return is particularly notable after publicly stating earlier this year that she had no plans to revisit the franchise.

Angela Bassett, who last appeared in AHS: Apocalypse as Marie Laveau, also rejoins the ensemble, alongside franchise stalwarts Bates and Sidibe.

American Horror Story Season 13 will premiere in 2026 on FX and stream on Hulu.
