Midsomer Murders Renewed For Season 26 On ITV

 DCI Barnaby and DS Winter return for four new cases in the ever-dangerous English countryside. 

ITV has renewed Midsomer Murders for a 26th season, ensuring the long-running detective series continues in the tranquil villages of Midsomer County.

The new season will comprise four new feature-length episodes, with Neil Dudgeon returning as DCI John Barnaby alongside Nick Hendrix as DS Jamie Winter. In addition, Annette Badland reprises her role as pathologist Dr. Fleur Perkins and Fiona Dolman returns as Sarah Barnaby.

ITV Drama Commissioner Huw Kennair Jones said:

“We’re thrilled to be returning to Midsomer with Barnaby and Winter. Series 26 promises to deliver four brilliant brand new cases for the legion of Midsomer Murders fans to enjoy.”

Executive producer Michele Buck added:

Season 26 of Midsomer Murders will premiere on ITV in 2026.
