FOX is bringing Baywatch back to television, ordering a straight-to-series 12-episode revival for the 2026-27 season.
The new version of the iconic lifeguard drama comes 25 years after the original wrapped its 11-season run.
Produced by Fremantle and FOX Entertainment, the reimagined Baywatch will be executive produced by Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Dante Di Loreto, Doug Schwartz and Matt Nix, with Nix also serving as showrunner.

First launched in 1989, Baywatch became the most-watched show in the world, airing in more than 200 countries and reaching over a billion viewers weekly at its peak. The reboot will aim to capture that same energy, delivering sun-soaked rescues, tangled relationships and beachside heroics with a brand-new cast for today’s audience.
The Baywatch revival will premiere as part of FOX’s 2026-27 season.
