The Comeback Renewed For 3rd & Final Season By HBO

 Valerie Cherish gets one last shot at the spotlight. 

HBO has announced that The Comeback will return for a third and final season, some twenty years after its original debut and a decade since its most recent outing.

The series stars Lisa Kudrow as Valerie Cherish, a once-famous TV star determined to reclaim her place in the spotlight. After agreeing to star in a reality show chronicling her return to acting, Valerie finds herself in increasingly awkward—and revealing—situations as the industry proves to be more brutal than she remembers.

HBO praised Kudrow and co-creator Michael Patrick King for bringing Valerie back on the show’s 20th anniversary, calling her “a survivor” and hinting that her final chapter will be one to watch.

Production is slated to begin this summer ahead of a 2026 premiere.
