Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Renewed For Season 14 On HBO

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver appears set to remain on HBO through at least 2027.

According to reports, John Oliver has signed a contract extension with the network through next year, a move that is expected to keep the Emmy-winning late-night series on the air for at least a 14th season.

If the reported agreement holds, it would differ from the show’s previous renewal pattern. Rather than the multi-year deals HBO has typically awarded the series, this extension is said to cover just one additional year.

Premiering in 2014, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver has become a fixture of HBO’s Sunday night lineup. The weekly satirical news program has earned widespread critical acclaim throughout its run, collecting numerous Emmy Awards, including multiple wins for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, while building a loyal audience with its in-depth coverage of politics, current events, and social issues.

Season 14 of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is slated to premiere in 2027 on HBO.
