The Bachelorette Season 22 Premiere Cancelled

 ABC is not currently moving forward with Season 22.

ABC has pulled the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, just days before it was scheduled to premiere this Sunday.

The decision halts the rollout of Season 22, which was set to feature Taylor Frankie Paul as its lead, following the circulation of a 2023 video involving an altercation with her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” a Disney spokesperson said in a statement.

The scheduling change comes shortly after production on Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which also features Paul, was paused amid a domestic assault investigation involving Paul and Mortensen.

ABC has not indicated whether the season will be rescheduled or permanently shelved.
