Marshals Renewed For Season 2 On CBS

CBS has renewed Marshals for a second season. The pickup comes on the heels of  the series premiere on March 1, with the launch episode drawing more than 20 million multiplatform viewers within seven days.

According to Nielsen data, the premiere averaged 20.6 million viewers across broadcast and streaming, making it the most-watched network original series debut without a football lead-in since Young Sheldon launched in 2017. The episode also stands as the most-streamed CBS episode ever on Paramount+.

CBS addressed the renewal with the following statement:

“Marshals delivered a breakout performance, capturing a massive audience across platforms and quickly establishing itself as one of TV’s most powerful new series.The overwhelming viewer response speaks to the strength of the Yellowstone world, the bold character driven storytelling from the creative team and the dynamic cast performances led by Luke Grimes.”

Part of the broader Yellowstone franchise, the series stars Luke Grimes reprising his role as Kayce Dutton. The character joins an elite team of U.S. Marshals, using his experience as both a cowboy and former Navy SEAL to pursue fugitives across Montana.

Marshals Season 2 is slated to premiere during the upcoming 2026-27 season on CBS.
