The Amazing Race has been renewed through Season 40, with Season 39 previously announced. The pickup comes roughly a month after the competition wrapped its 38th run.

Season 38 featured teams that included at least one former Big Brother contestant. In 2025, CBS aired two seasons of The Amazing Race, marking only the second time in the past decade the network has scheduled two cycles in a single year.

The renewal is one of 16 CBS shows currently renewed for the 2026-27 season.

Expect The Amazing Race Season 39 to premiere later in 2026, with Season 40 likely to air in late 2026 or in 2027.
