Hotel Costiera Cancelled On Prime Video – Season 2 Shopped Elsewhere

It's one-and-done for Hotel Costiera, at least on Prime Video.

Prime Video has cancelled Hotel Costiera after one season, ending the series less than three months after its English-language Italian drama debuted on the platform. While Season 1 wrapped its central kidnapping storyline, the finale left the door open for Daniel De Luca’s story to continue, at least creatively.

The series follows Daniel, a half-Italian former U.S. Marine who returns to the Amalfi Coast as a fixer at a luxury hotel in Positano. While juggling crises for affluent guests, he searches for Alice, the owner’s kidnapped daughter. The season ultimately resolved the core mystery, but also planted threads suggesting future conflicts for Daniel.

Despite Prime Video stepping away, the project may not be entirely finished. Fremantle, which controls the rights, is reportedly exploring new co-production partners in hopes of securing financing for a potential continuation elsewhere.

For now, however, Hotel Costiera will not return for Season 2 on Prime Video.
