Showtime has renewed Dexter: Resurrection for a second season. The announcement comes just one month after the revival’s freshman season concluded its 10-episode run.

In a video message shared on the show’s official Instagram account, Michael C. Hall addressed viewers directly, thanking them for their support and confirming the continuation of the story:

“First of all, I just want to thank all the fans for tuning in and taking the Dexter: Resurrection ride with us this summer. Hope you enjoyed it. And secondly. We’ve been greenlit for another season. There’s more to come. The writers room is assembling now and, details will be forthcoming. But I wanted to be the first to let you know that the story continues.”

The series picks up weeks after Dexter Morgan’s near-death encounter with his son, following his move to New York City to find redemption and reconnect. As Dexter pursues closure, familiar faces from Miami resurface, including Angel Batista, forcing him to confront old secrets while navigating new dangers with his son.

This past summer, Showtime cancelled Dexter: Original Sin after one season.

Expect Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection to premiere in 2026 on Showtime.
