Netflix has renewed The Hunting Wives for Season 2, expanding the Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment drama into a global Netflix-branded series.

The original cast will reprise their roles as the saga in Maple Brook continues.

Season 1, which debuted in the US on July 21, spent five weeks in Netflix’s global English Top 10 and accumulated over 20 million views during that window. The TV launch also reignited the source material’s momentum.

Christine Ball, EVP & Publisher, Berkley, said:

“Originally published in 2021, May Cobb’s ‘The Hunting Wives’ surged back into the spotlight following its Netflix premiere.”

Rebecca Cutter returns as creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer, with executive producers Erwin Stoff for 3 Arts Entertainment and author May Cobb.

In Season 2, Sophie and Margo are on the outs, but old secrets and new foes force them back together. As the games escalate, the question looms: are they the hunters or the hunted?

The returning cast includes Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jamie Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit and George Ferrier.

Rebecca Cutter, creator/showrunner:

“I’m so excited to write these amazing characters again, and I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, batshit crazy ride through Maple Brook.”

The Hunting Wives Season 2 is expected to release in 2026.
