Apple TV+ has renewed Murderbot for a second season ahead of the Season 1 finale, which premieres globally on Friday, July 11.

The sci-fi series, based on Martha Wells’ bestselling Murderbot Diaries, has been widely praised for its sharp blend of action, wit, and emotional depth.

Series creators and executive producers Chris and Paul Weitz said:

Created and showrun by Chris and Paul Weitz, Murderbot has quickly earned critical acclaim, scoring a Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and being hailed as one of Apple TV+’s best new series of the year.
