Netflix’s Love Is Blind: Italy marks the latest international chapter of the global dating phenomenon that began in the United States in 2020. The adaptation is directed by Angelo Poli and written by Magda Geronimo, Valentina Massouda, and Antonio Vicaretti, all veterans of unscripted Italian television.

The production was filmed primarily in and around Rome and Milan, with the now-famous “pods” built inside a custom-designed studio set that recreates the iconic look from the original U.S. version. Banijay Italia’s team worked closely with Netflix’s unscripted division to ensure the show stayed true to the global Love Is Blind format, down to the emotional proposals, first meetings, and destination retreats that follow.

Hosts and Style

Italy’s edition is hosted by real-life couple Benedetta Parodi and Fabio Caressa. Parodi is known for her long career in television presenting and lifestyle programming, while Caressa is a celebrated sports journalist and commentator.

The show will be released in three separate batches of episodes throughout December 2025, inviting viewers to experience the relationships in real time – from the first introductions in the pods to the climactic reunion special:

Monday, December 1: the first four episodes will be available, where participants begin to get to know each other inside the pods, leading up to the marriage proposals.

Monday, December 8: episodes 5-8 will be released, following the couples as they experience daily life together up to the altar.

Monday, December 15: episode 9 will be released, and on Friday, December 19, the reunion episode will reveal what happened to the couples months later.

This release structure mirrors the U.S. model, designed to keep audiences invested over several weeks.

While the concept remains faithful to the Love Is Blind format, singles dating without seeing one another, the Italian version leans into cultural authenticity.
